It’s a reasonable day today and thus we have the back doors standing open. This means that Chloé can come and go as she pleases (she refuses to use the cat flaps and expects us to give her ingress and egress via the sitting room window).
We were taking a coffee break in between sorting out the van, when we heard a strange Chloé-type noise. I did not like it. I wondered if she had been injured and thought a little about it before saying “or else she has some prey…“
We did a little hunting of our own and found Madame sitting on the bath mat in front of the shower, appearing hale and hearty… and extremely interested in the shower tray.
Yes, she had some prey and, yes, she has let it escape in the house. No, we cannot find it, despite taking the wall panel out in the bedroom and investigating the area behind the shower with the aid of a torch. No doubt the critter, whatever it is, is now between the walls.
Thanks a lot Chloé. Next time, can you growl like a proper cat, so that we know exactly what you are up to, and in good time.

I am making a proper effort to resume blogging efforts (here and also at Woolgathering and Two Snails) . It may not work, as keeping up is difficult when we are travelling, but the intent is there. I am taking a rest from reading Facebook and expect this to free up a lot of time. I shall be returning to old habits and using a feed reader to keep up with those blogs that are written by my friends.

If you have a blog address that you would like to share with me so that I can follow, do please leave it in the Comments below.
