Crooked House

A country life in France

Feeling a bit seedy

Nell and I went for a walk this morning. It was a gorgeous day but we ended up by not going very far. The Crooked Man had gone out and I was expecting a parcel delivery. Plus, I was finding it hard going.

Not feeling on top of my game right now. Possibly a touch of “Keto Flu”? I’d like to think so, but honestly haven’t been working hard enough at it to have got to that point.

There have been some good and fairly low carb dinners, notable of which was a salad of cooked chicken with cauliflower and roasted almonds in a dressing of mayo, cream and mango chutney. Served with salad greens and some cumin-roasted celeriac, it was delicious. Noting it now so that I may do it again. No photos.

We have finally munched our way through all the stocks of bad stuff, so today I made some Keto Granola bars.

I really enjoy these. Around 3g carbs a serving if you make 20 to 24 but I got 16 out of them so more like 4g I expect (old-fashioned calorie counters need not apply). I ate two but we are only having tuna and egg salad tonight.

Last night’s news from M. Macron held some promise. As of this Saturday we can go out with greater liberty – up to 20 km and 3 hours. Time to get the hiking boots on and the bikes out! No restaurants until late January though.

Spent inordinate amount of time today blogging a skirt.
